JOSAR Support Team

A Search and Rescue Support member does just that…they offer support to the team in a variety of capacities. They too are an integral part of the JOSAR team.

Our team currently has approximately 12 members, some with years of experience and others who are new. We are a very close-knit team and are always willing to help. JOSAR support team provides the essential infrastructure support for every search and rescue operation conducted in Joshua Tree National Park. We are an all-volunteer team which provides the following essential service.

  • Mission Communications Support
  • Base Camp Operations
  • Search Support
  • Fundraising Activities
  • Community Events
  • Traffic Control
  • Society Administration
  • and many others

As such we are always looking for Support Team Members that may not want to take part in the actual searching or rescuing side of things, but would like to contribute to JOSAR and to Joshua Tree National Park.
